Marsh Rd. Project Update: Follow along and watch the progress!
When Details Define the Dream
It's all in the details! July brought the finish carpentry that really makes homeowners say 'wow' - every door, every piece of trim adds to the character of this farmhouse transformation.
The Fir Choice
We chose fir for our doors and trim, and the decision has worked out perfectly. The tight grain took our stain beautifully and matches our exterior glue lam beams and columns perfectly, creating that seamless indoor-outdoor connection that makes this farmhouse design so cohesive.
Intention and Precision
For our finish carpentry, we chose a classic look that feels both classic and fresh. The baseboards and door casings match in profile, while we used a slightly thicker header and top bead that creates subtle visual weight and sophistication. We also included four-way window wrap in wood and tied together the whole interior trim package.
Stonework Progress
With our mason finishing the exterior stonework, they moved inside wrapping the fireplace in stone. This has created a breathtaking focal point. The fireplace wrapped in stone has created an instantly cozy and impressive space.
Kitchen Remodeling
Countertops were installed making everyone realize this Central Oregon home renovation is almost complete. We rounded out our stonework with a beautiful kitchen and dining room stone wall that added incredible visual impact and more authentic farmhouse character.
Beauty of Matching
The brilliance of using the same fir species throughout - from exterior beams to interior trim - creates a cohesive design story that moves perfectly from outside to inside. When stain colors match between exterior and interior elements, it is obvious that the home is intentionally designed rather than pieces together.
