Q. What does it cost to
hire an interior designer?
A. In most cases, nothing. Our
design services are a part of your purchase and are not billed separately.
We offer competitive pricing on all materials for your home and you get the
advantage of a professionally decorated home or office, aesthetically pleasing
to you, your family and guests (the "WOW!" factor).
Q. What are the other options for using your
services?
A. You may arrange hourly consultation
for initial, partial or complete design services. Additionally, you may
arrange for "cost plus" consulting, where materials selected for your home or
office are available at my wholesale pricing, plus a negotiated markup.
Even if it's just coordinating paint colors and textures, we are more than
happy to assist you.
Q. What are the advantages of using an
interior designer?
A. A professional designer can make your
house a home. Through a balanced selection of colors, textures, materials
and furnishings specifically selected for you and your family, your home will
have a professional touch, be balanced and likely have a higher resale value and
less time-on-market when (and if) you decide to sell. Most homeowners
carefully select their architect for a dramatic exterior; likewise, the interior
of a home requires the eye of an interior designer.
Professional home builders employ the services of an interior designer for
homes built for resale. These builders know that a designer can save them money
in the selection of materials and have a completed home that is attractive and
sells faster and for more money.
We've all been in homes where the predominant memory of the home is "what
were they thinking?" It's easy to avoid this by utilizing an interior designer
that is compatible with your style, needs and budget.
Likewise, office decor is equally as important. In many cases, more time
awake is spent in an office than at home and a pleasing, carefully selected
interior can greatly increase productivity and increase sales.
Q. Why not just shop at Home Depot?
A. The integration of the
elements of interior design -- paint, carpeting, wood and tile floors,
countertops, window coverings and furniture -- is a demanding challenge for any
homeowner. With our services and products, you can achieve a polished,
professional look for your home at competitive prices.
